Our Company

Collective Alternatives is an organizational "hub" for a wider network of individuals who work in a variety of capacities to bring knowledge and learning to organizations and individuals serving communities. We provide technical assistance, coordinate learning events, and assist with research and reflection.

Some of the principles and beliefs that guide our company are these:

• Human beings are born with a lifelong desire and ability to learn;
• Learning is social--people learn best from and with each other--and can be facilitated by the purposeful development of learning communities;
• Organizations should serve the broad needs of the community in which they exist rather than narrow interests, and by doing so enhance the economic, social, and biological well-being of the community. In order to change, adapt, survive and serve, organizations should strive to engage in reflective conversation and to evolve toward a greater harmony with the world around them.
